Description: Beautiful, very active and extremely heavy sample of Pitchblende in matrix from the Schwartzwalder Mine in Jefferson County Colorado.  Activity varies across the surface of this massive specimen, which likely has Pitchblende on the interior of the sample and is self-shielding. Very nice specimen for display in a museum.
